R.I.P. Aaliyah Dana Haughton (January 16, 1979 – August 25, 2001)Singer, Model and Actress Aaliyah, was born in Brooklyn New York and raised in Detroit Michigan. She appeared in the TV show Star Serch, and then at age 12 she signed with Jive Records and Blackground Records by her uncle Barry Hankerston. She worked with hit producers such as Missy Elliot. Her first album "Nothing but a Number" sold millions of copies in the United States and quickly went double platinum, followed by her second "One in a Million" which sold 3.7 million. After her debut movie "Romeo Must Die" and then "Queen of the Damned" her final album before her tragic death, "Aaliyah". She was dubbed "Princess of R&B". Her tattoos include a tribal dove on the small of her back, which is on the back of her last album. She also has an initial and star on her wrist as well as a music note on her ankle. She may not have been a Tat Monkey we we ought to show out respect. |
